Bridge Program
In response to the numerous inquiries that we have had regarding students who wish to transfer osteopathic schools, we have been working on a bridging program.
We are working on the details, however, what this bridging program would entail is an opportunity for students to enter into a later year of the OAoPO program, and thereby complete the program in a time period less than 5 years. This bridging program would be a combination of recorded lectures and in person practical hours. Participation in this program would require participants to have previous osteopathic education. It would also include the successful completion of tests and exams.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: I've already completed one osteopathic training, do I have to do this program to take advanced courses?
A: There are some courses that are open to external students, but those are limited to the courses listed below. Unfortunately, without meeting standards, it is not possible to allow students into advanced courses.
All year 1 courses are open to external students including:
- The Diaphragm Course
- Introduction to Osteopathic Assessment
- Introduction to Osteopathy in the Cranial Field
- Muscle Energy Technique
- Exercises of the Kinetic Chains
- Strain/Counterstrain
Advanced Courses that are available to non-students:
- Introduction to Functional Technique (prerequisite completion of Introduction to Osteopathy in the Cranial Field)
- Chapman's Neurolymphatic Points
- Mitchell Method Assessment Course (prerequisite completion of Mitchell Method Muscle Energy Technique)
- Rational Cranial Osteopathy (prerequisite completion of Introduction to Osteopathy in the Cranial Field)
Q: What is the cost of the program?
A: Costs are calculated on a modular basis.
- Module on the extremities including two days of hands on training = $750
- Module on the axial skeleton including two days of hands on training = $750
- Module on the Diaphragm including two days of hands on training = $750
- Two Modules on the Exercise Courses including 4 Days of Hands on Training = $1500
- Module on Introduction to Cranial Osteopathy in the Cranial Field including 3 days of hands on training = $1125
Q: What are the class hours for the practical class?
A: The practical class hours would run 9am to 6:30 pm for each day of in person training. It is assumed that all of the online content has been reviewed prior to attending the hands on training, there will be a test at the beginning of Day 1 of each module based on the prerecorded online lecture materials.
Q: What happens if I fail the test based on the online materials on the morning of the first day of a module?
A: We recognize that sometimes things happen and people do not perform as well as they should with a test. There will be an option to redo the test at the end of the first day of a module, which someone has to pass to continue with the rest of the material.
Q: What diploma will I receive at the end of my training?
A: Currently graduates will receive a Diploma in Osteopathy (Dip.Ost.) upon completion of the program.
