The OAoPO Difference

We Produce World-Class Osteopathic Practitioners

At Ontario Academy of Progressive Osteopathy (OAoPO), we are dedicated to making sure that our students are trained under a curriculum that’s optimized for the industry and taught by experts who have achieved professional excellence.

Our institution wants to ensure that our students have all the tools they need to succeed in the field. These include:

  • Progressive Curriculum

The OAoPO’s curriculum has been developed by experts who have studied under different osteopathic programs in Canada, the US, and Europe. They have extensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, functional neurology, embryology and cadaveric dissection. The curriculum includes tried and tested techniques that have been used for decades, but also includes contemporary newly developed techniques and brings the on-field experience of the top professionals in the field of osteopathy.

  • Hand-Picked Faculty

Each faculty member has come out at the top of a rigorous selection process. They are picked based on their qualifications, years of experience, the success achieved in practice, focus and passion for the discipline, and professional integrity.

  • Smaller Class Sizes

We make sure that our students receive individual attention. So, we support smaller class sizes and maintain a high instructor-to-student ratio. We disseminate quality education that inspires the leaders of tomorrow.

  • Right Approach to Healing

We firmly believe that it is our responsibility to not only create professionals who can heal, but also make sure that they learn the right approach to healing. We encourage them to treat a patient as a unique case and inspire them to create custom solutions for them. We are strictly against formulas that recommend the same or similar treatments to groups of individuals.

At Ontario Academy of Progressive Osteopathy, we bring together the traditional practices of osteopathy and update them using the latest advances in medical science. We aim to empower graduate students and highly experienced professionals alike in the field with a professional degree that allows them to transition into the world of osteopathy and build an exciting and fulfilling career.

Student clinic is a hands-on opportunity for our students to treat patients in a clinical context under the supervision of a well-trained licensed manual osteopathic practitioner. It’s a way to receive direction and training in real life scenarios that show up in a typical practice, and to be instructed on how to deal with those scenarios by an experienced instructor. It is also an excellent opportunity for patients to receive affordable treatment while helping to support our wonderful students!
