Student Clinic

Run several times a month, the OAoPO Student Clinic is an opportunity for students in Year 3 and above to treat patients in a clinical context, under the supervision of a professionally trained Osteopathic practitioner. Trainees receive real-time direction and hands-on experience with scenarios that emerge in a typical practice. With immediate feedback from an trained instructor, students learn how to address patient concerns and apply their knowledge while benefitting the community.

As a patient, Student Clinics are a chance for you to receive excellent treatment from a practitioner-in-training at a discounted rate and support passionate students at the OAoPO.

• Cost of session: First session is FREE; donations are accepted for subsequent appointments.
• Donation: Pay what you can, suggested donations of $50.00 are highly appreciated. (If you can’t pay anything, that’s okay too.)

How do I book a Student Clinic appointment?

1. Complete the form on the next page. Refer to Student Clinic Calendar below for upcoming dates.
2. Select a date and time that works for you. OAoPO admin will be in touch within 48 hours to confirm your appointment or find a different time that works.
3. Wait for email confirmation and Google calendar invite for your appointment, including all logistical details of the session.

4. Arrive on time for your appointment. If you can't make your slot, note that 24-hour advance notice is required for cancellations. Get in touch with info@progressiveosteopathy.ca to cancel or reschedule your session.
